In Hawaiian, Honua means “Earth” and it represents a way of bringing some “Aloha” home.
Honua Unlimited is a lifestyle brand conceptualized by Ryan Oyama Koga, a Socal transplant from the Bay Area. He spent his summers in Kauai, Hawaii, working on the family taro farm, where he learned about his native Hawaiian and Japanese culture. He developed a love of the outdoors and all the activities that can be enjoyed in the variety of settings that Hawaii and California have to offer. When he discovered the electric skateboard (Boosted Board), he was an immediate fan and took it everywhere. He quickly realized that he needed a functional, high quality bag for traveling, commuting, or when he just wanted to go to the beach. The MAKA bag was created just for this purpose.
